Organized by Messe Frankfurt Italia, FESI will be held at BolognaFiere, in October 2025. It aims to be the point of reference for smart building, offering a complete overview of technological innovations: from building automation to HVAC systems, lighting, security, IoT solutions and electric mobility. The event shows how these technologies integrate for efficient and sustainable management of the buildings of the future.
With the first edition in 2025, it will be an dedicated to intelligent solutions and technologies for buildings.
The Project
The new FESI trade project was born, in collaboration with the main industry associations, looking at the new market prospects for the construction and redevelopment of buildings that is rapidly evolving following the recent European directive.
This directive imposes new energy and environmental standards for buildings, with the aim of reducing carbon emissions and improving energy efficiency by 2030.
The event takes place in BolognaFiere which is easily accessible by car, train or bus. The access is from the West Entrance (Piazza della Costituzione, Bologna).

In recent years, the construction sector has been undergoing a profound transformation, driven by the growing demand for more efficient, connected and sustainable buildings. IBIMI shares FESI's vision of promoting a future where construction becomes sustainable, digitally integrated, and energy-efficient. By participating in the technical-scientific committee, IBIMI will support the use of BIM as a tool to optimize energy management and design smart and resilient buildings.
The ESCO sector has seen significant development following the European Community's guidelines on the EPBD topic. Therefore, the role of ESCOs needs to be adequately developed. In this context, FESI serves as a qualified platform for initiatives supporting industry operators.
The FESI project accompanies an important moment of reflection on smart building. It will be a moment of discussion on the most cutting-edge technologies relevant to all phases of design. In this context, lighting will also play a leading role, featuring adaptive, intelligent, and integrated solutions.
Motus-E is alongside Messe Frankfurt to bring to FESI its unique and transversal experience on the topic of private charging infrastructure at the service of electric mobility: an essential element in the design of smart and future-proof buildings, both for residential and commercial properties and offices.
