FESI - Integrated Sustainable Building Fair
FESI, Integrated Sustainable Building Fair, is the first fair in Italy that brings together in a single event all the technologies and solutions for integrated buildings
Organized by Messe Frankfurt Italia, FESI will be held at BolognaFiere, from 14 to 16 October 2025. It aims to be the point of reference for smart building, offering a complete overview of technological innovations: from building automation to HVAC systems, lighting, security, IoT solutions and electric mobility. The fair shows how these technologies integrate for efficient and sustainable management of the buildings of the future.
With the first edition in 2025, it will be a biennial event dedicated to intelligent solutions and technologies for buildings.
The trade fair project
The new FESI trade fair project was born, in collaboration with the main industry associations, looking at the new market prospects for the construction and redevelopment of buildings that is rapidly evolving following the recent European directive.
This directive imposes new energy and environmental standards for buildings, with the aim of reducing carbon emissions and improving energy efficiency by 2030.
First edition
The fair takes place in BolognaFiere and access to the fair is from the North Entrance (Via Ondina Valla, Bologna). The fair is easily accessible by car, train or bus.

The context: forecasts and trends
In recent years, the construction sector has been undergoing a profound transformation, driven by the growing demand for more efficient, connected and sustainable buildings. The integration of advanced technologies such as IoT, automation, intelligent energy systems and electric mobility solutions has revolutionized the way buildings are designed, built and managed. These changes not only respond to the need to reduce environmental impact, but also improve the quality of life and the safety of living and working spaces.
In this context, FESI was born, the new fair dedicated to intelligent solutions and technologies for the building, with the aim of responding to a dual need: on the one hand, to promote the spread of innovative technologies for building management; on the other, to provide a platform for discussion for all professionals in the sector. This event aims to be a point of reference for architects, engineers, builders, facility managers and all those who work in the construction world, highlighting the opportunities offered by the integration of new technologies.
